The Finance Department is responsible for the safekeeping, accounting and management of the financial operations of the City in accordance with the City’s municipal code, policies, and state and federal statutes. The Department processes cash receipts, payroll and accounts payable, invests the City’s funds, prepares and monitors the City’s budget and coordinates the City’s financial audits. In addition, the Department provides fiscal support to the public, the City Council, the City Manager and other City departments and commissions.
