West Memphis Christmas Tree lighting Canceled

Due to impending weather for this evening as well as the safety of attendees and staff, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony that was scheduled for tonight at 6 PM on the grounds at Worthington Park has been canceled. West Memphis Tourism Director, Jim Jackson stated “We appreciate everyone’s willingness to be a part of this annual tradition. Because so many of our vendors and demonstrators are booked for the remaining winter season, it will not be rescheduled this year.”
BUT... the City of West Memphis would like to invite children and families to the first-ever Polar Express Movie Night! It will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Eugene Woods Civic Center and is free to the public. Take pictures and enjoy FREE 🍪 cookies and ☕️ hot chocolate with Santa. (Pictures only $5)
Guests are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas pajamas for the ugly pajama contest. ** Please note that it a City of West Memphis Policy for children to be accompanied
by an adult. No Outside Food or beverages allowed.
