As West Memphis’ 13th Mayor, Marco McClendon came into office in 2019 after serving on the city council for over 16 years. An alum of ASU Mid-South and graduate from West Memphis High School in 1996, Mayor McClendon began his career in public service in 2003 as the youngest elected city council member in the state of Arkansas. He has served on and supported a number of state and local organizations and boards. Over the course of his 16 year career as a City Council member unity and fairness for every resident of West Memphis has been Mayor McClendon’s most valued contribution. Mr. McClendon is a life long resident of West Memphis and is an active member of New Life Christian Church.
