The City of West Memphis plans a restricted opening of the Marion Rose Softball Fields and city tennis courts effective today, Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Each facility will follow the guidelines and restrictions put in place per the Directive Regarding Large Outdoor Venues issued by Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Health. There will be limits on the number of people to 50 or fewer, face coverings worn at all times by anyone over 10 years of age; all bathrooms and concessions will remain closed, NO team sports, or organized sports gatherings at this time. Softball fields must be reserved through the Parks Commission by calling 870-735-1658 or 870-702-5160.
The City of West Memphis takes the health and safety of our citizens seriously. All facilities will have signage encouraging social distancing and proper hygiene. Staff will also be performing frequent cleaning of common touchpoints in each facility throughout the day. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 and we will continue to follow the latest guidelines from the CDC & Arkansas Department of Health.
Tilden Rodgers Complex will remain CLOSED at this time. We will continue to update our Facebook page as more openings become available.
The West Memphis Parks and Recreation Department has a lot to offer you. We have many programs during the year. We have several parks located throughout West Memphis that can also be used for activities.
If you are interested in holding a family or company picnic, Tilden Rodgers Sports Complex (located at 825 North Airport Road) offers many opportunities for your family or business. Learn more about using this facility for your next event.
All parks with the exception of Tenth Street Park have open areas for field games and activities. The sizes of these areas vary and inquiries should be made before planning any events.
