  1. ASU Mid-South Manufacturing Day Event

    October 24, 2019, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ ASU Mid-South

You are invited to join Arkansas State University Mid-South on October 24, as we celebrate Manufacturing in the Mid-South by hosting a variety of awareness, demonstration, and informational activities on our campus. This is part of a national awareness campaign that was launched on National Manufacturing Day, October 4, to promote manufacturing and its importance to our region. We are hosting an employer event designed to increase awareness of manufacturing as a career and showcase some of our local and regional manufacturing employers, what they manufacture, the types of positions they hire, and employee earning potential. In addition to this manufacturing expo, we are also excited to have the American Welding Society Mobile Exhibit on campus that day. Using virtual reality welding simulators, participants will be able to man a welding gun and put their skills to the test. The exhibit also includes a variety of displays about welding and the world of welding.
